Arrival & Dismissal

Supervision begins at 7:45am (As a result, students should NOT begin to arrive until 7:40am)

Students begin to enter the building at 7:45am

• Carline doors 3 or 4
• Breakfast eaters door 3
• Students riding the bus door 6
• Students walking may enter any door 3-6

School begins at 7:55am

Breakfast

Students who are eating breakfast at Longfellow are encouraged to arrive at 7:40am. Students who are eating breakfast enter the building through the North entrance (door 3) and go into the cafeteria and eat their breakfast. Breakfast is served each morning from 7:40 to 7:55am. At 7:55am, all students entering the cafeteria for breakfast will stay in the cafeteria to eat.

2:55 Dismissal on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (*1:55 Dismissal on Thursday)

• Bus and daycare van riders will be dismissed at 2:55pm (1:55pm on Thursday) at out door 6

• Walkers/Pick up-will be dismissed at 2:55pm (1:55pm on Thursday) and then walk to the closest team door of the building before leaving the school’s property

• Car riders will begin to be dismissed at 2:55pm (1:55pm on Thursday) and and go to the gym to be seated by their first letter of their last name and wait to be called out then walk towards the “loop driveways,” to load into their vehicle. (See Car Line Procedures)

• KEY/BASP: students in the before or after school program will enter and exit the North door of the building. 

• Students in grades K-1 dismiss out door 5

•  2nd-3rd, 5th Grades - door 4

• Students in grade 4 - door 6  

Staff will be present in the areas listed, above, to assist with and monitor dismissal.

PARKING- please use the street if you need to park and walk your student to the door.

Please follow route on map. Cars should enter on Seymour coming from the east and exit  (by turning right) toward the west.  Students will depart and enter the car by the North building door.- Please have your “last name” sign in your window. There should be no parking and exiting of vehicle while in carline.
